Beautiful, But Dangerous

Like ice melting. Mountains moving
under the glacier

The surface seems certain, safe and easy to maneuver,
but appearances are deceiving, aren’t they?

Taking one step at a time. Two in a pinch.
Taking a leap over the precipice, dangerous at worst

The sky above, drunken blue and wisps of your smile
Confused by the moment, disoriented and uncertain

I reach out to grasp the edge
save me, before I fall…….
